This is a picture of what is and what is to come for the Israelites. It is prophetic about the exile and separation from God and the promised land. The Israelites had committed spiritual adultery by worshipping other gods. It describes how the Israelites will go through a disciplinary period and waiting period before God ultimately redeems them through Jesus even though they do not deserve it. The truth is none of us deserve what Jesus did for us but he did it anyway. Thank God that he doesn’t require us to be perfect because I would have been out of the race a long time ago. God is a forgiving God and is a redeemer. His desire is for us to lean on him in the hard times as well as the easy times. Everyone is going to be tested throughout their lives. The tests could come through pain and suffering or comfort and wealth. Whatever situation we are in always lean on God to lead and guide you. No one in this world is perfect and anyone can slip and fall at any part of their lives. Thank God Jesus payed the debt we could never pay. Love y’all! Have a great day!
Hosea 3:1-5
Read scripture…
“Then the Lord said to me, “Go again; show love to a woman who is loved by another man and is an adulteress, just as the Lord loves the Israelites though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes.” So I bought her for fifteen shekels of silver and nine bushels of barley. ,, I said to her, “You are to live with me many days. You must not be promiscuous or belong to any man, and I will act the same way toward you.” For the Israelites must live many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, and without ephod or household idols. Afterward, the people of Israel will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come with awe to the Lord and to his goodness in the last days.”
